Projekta programma:
ABOUT PHOTOGATHERING 2008 "FACES OF EUROPE"
Young people from Slovakia, Czech Republic, Latvia, Romania and Turkey will spend 8 days in Banská Štiavnica, Slovakia, devoted to photography, exploring the specifics of different cultures and societies within Europe. The program includes workshops - courses of black&white photography, developing of analogue stock in a dark room, digital photography and work with photographic software, thematic photography /portrait, report, macro, experimental.../ and discussions on themes concerning young Europeans and cultural diversity, as well as very attractive outdoor activities combined with photo sessions. The participants will be asked to join local communities and spend at least one day within them, to catch those special moments in their seemingly normal everyday life in a photographic essay "FACES OF EUROPE". Their artwork will be presented in public events, such as a multimedia exhibition, public discussions, on a specially created photoblog, that will cover the project as a diary and in a high quality catalogue named FACES OF EUROPE. This way they will not only gain new skills but also will get to know each other's social and cultural background and reflect all this knowledge in their work and cooperation.

BEGINING OF PROGRAM: making groups (A-E), observing the Scout´s House, discussing the programm, introduction, preparing materials for the public event of presenting each participating country, discussion about culture crossing, walk through the historical town of Banská Štiavnica,photographing the town, first entry into the Photodiary , evening debate
